Digital Investigative Analysis (also known as Computer Forensics, Digital Forensics) is the investigative review and analysis of any type of information that is created, used, and stored in digital form, and requires a computer or other device for access. Most common is the examination and analysis of computer systems and hand held devices (cell phones and tablets) to identify digital artifacts and determine actions that occurred on the device and where possible though temporal analysis or contextual analysis to determine the likely person who was responsible for the action.
