Are you sure about this? Most cell phone jammers that I have seen pretend to be base stations and get the cell phones to associate to the jammer, rather than to the legitimate base station.
Yes, according to my research (http://www.slate.com/id/2092059/, wikipedia, phonejammer.com, howstuffworks), cell phone jammers work by creating enough interference that the cell phone is rendered unusable and the device effectively 'deadened'. Nowhere did I find that jammers pretend to be base stations. If possible, please make me aware of the source of this information so that it may be inserted into this section of the wiki.
