One thing to note is the difference between RPIER and RAPIER.
RPIER is the Intel(R) version of the tool released under GPL. This version is going to be provided support but future development is unknown at this point.
RAPIER is a branch under LGPL that the original authors will continue to develop and enhance.
In short, RAPIER is cooler than RPIER.
